Just checking.........but by oil cooler i meant the sandwich plate between the oil filter and block. Im not sure how to test, probably the only way is to remove and pressure test them.

If the engine is new i doubt its anything youve done, them oil coolers are very cheap and tacky at the end of the day.

Do a compression test first and check everything is ok there.
