If you mention "reliablitilty and economy" when looking for a Range Rover then you are looking at the wrong car Danny........Trust me
On the money again Tiff

Worked for them for a few months and neighbour had the diesel one. The diesel he had was the biggest pile of junk I had seen. The amount of mornings he spent trying to start it in the winter and having to call the RAC out was not funny. He had it from new in 98 on an R plate. I could count at least 5 times over the winter he had the guys out to look at it.

G/f's step dad here also had one from the same era which had 2 faulty transmissions and resulted in the thing being abandoned at the side of the road at the plates handed into the dealer eventually due to the lack of customer service provided.

Diesel is also extremely underpowered. Have driven a manual one also and I would steer away from them unless your arms are twice as long as your legs to engage first gear

Overfinch do some fantastic conversions but unless you have a company fuel card, I would avoid the V8 there too.

Overall avoid them IMO plus servicing isnt cheap
