i would still go for the heavier ap plate - C has explained about how the paddle's work on the other thread. I will point out that blue doesn't equal bad - its heat - and u will always get that will slippage. Remeber that the alcon will take the power - but if ur using it on the road - it will wear quickly. The proper way of solving this problem is using very heavy plates with a hydrualic conversion to make it manageable.
