My wife is a big cat lover, I know how upset she was, we have had 2 cats die under cars, unfortunately I was driving one of them, backing down the drive I never saw Hubert lurking under my back wheel....

I was faced with an awful decision,

Do I tell her someone else ran him over on the road?

Do I bury him and spend the following few days pretending to look for him?

Do I go in and face the music?

I did the honourable thing and told her i'd run him over....

Did not go down well....took her 6 months to forgive me, but it was a pure accident, not a lover of cats myself but you do get attached.
