Isnt the R6 quicker off the line than the 1 due to it being lighter etc? I was under the impression the 1 was the better beginners bike. Sounds silly I know.

YZ250 would beat an r6 to 60 if you could get the traction Used to have an 04 yz myself. amazing bike.
