the show organisers have to have insurance to cover anyone who gets hurt at the event, so if someone falls over the rope you have put up the insurance will cover that person who's fallen over

if that person just happens to fall over a bit of bunting and lands on your car and your car breaks their teeth they can still claim off the events organisers insurance, but your teeth dented bodywork with the £5000 per litre paint job will be down to you

i'll have a little look at the paperwork but as far as i'm aware, it was explained that way to my by footman james who do this sort of thing
