you started off with some very good points that made me think that there are cetain lines that cant be croosed for the good of the wider audience,....i was even lured into a sense that this was turning into rational, worth while debate.....
then you make a comment like that...

so being a mod means that you have to put other people down to give yourself a higher status ?

i was trying to put accross that when this board first opened, it was the banter and such that made this board great, and now it seems people are banned for comments if they are directed to a mod, but not another member of the board,.....


you mentioned stu and pettrucci, and how they have adjusted to the changing climate of this board. well i for one, feel that they, stu especially, handles differences of opinions on his board in a far better manner than the majority of the mods on here.

banning people "because you can" is not on, and if people spoke up instead of sitting on the side lines, you as a mod would see the how long term members of this site have become displeased with the way it is being run

i agree that in very extreme cases, it is better for the board if someone is banned, but in many other cases, theres no need
