I believe the accrued amount will indeed remain invested as it is. I think you'll find that you could only retrieve your own contributions if you were a member of the scheme for less than 2 years.

Best to leave it as it is for now and then when you get another job, speak to whoever administers their pension scheme and enquire as to the possibility of transferring the old pension fund into your new one.
