think that you're getting confused with nuremberg (nuernberg auf deutsch) where hitler and the nazi party held their rallys

closest big airport to nuerburg (if that's where you mean?) is probably cologne/bonn.

but there are a fair few 'regional' airports within easy reach, like frankfurt/hahn, dusseldorf, even charlerois in belgium.
