well you got speed sensors on each wheel,, which feed into a control unit!

the control unit (ecu) has scenarios maps, much like a engine ecu,,IF this IS this THAN output that, if you know what i mean!

the output from the diff ecu then controls a hydraulic control valve, which in turn is operating the diff
