If your goint to Poulton le Flid then I assume you will be M6 onto M55 towards Blackpool? If so, just as you get off the M6 onto the M55, if you come off at junction 2 (immediattely after you get onto the M55) there is a Travel Lodge type thing on the left or a Mariott Hotel on the right after you go under the motorway.

Obviously the Travel Lodge effort will be cheaper. The Marriott ranges from about £78 to £164.
