The rules also state:

Class F will apply to any vehicle entered
as an experimental or development car
by or for or on behalf of or in connection with
Ford Motor Company Limited, or any Ford Dealership, and such a vehicle or vehicles will
compete on merit and shall be liable for championship points in that class. Class F will
comply with the FIA regulations for saloon cars........

.......Unless otherwise permitted drive from the engine must remain in the configuration as
type approved and manufactured, i.e. Front Wheel Drive/Rear Wheel Drive/Four Wheel
Drive.
If they were allowed to race in the previous race and passed scrutineering, then surely the 4wd was permitted?

There is also provision for 2wd cars to move the driven wheels to rear when previously FWD - which is what I guess Steve Scott did with his Fiesta.
