I have found the problem, where the bracket for the throttle cable is fixed onto the plenum cover i seem to now have a hole ! bracket is only held on by 1 bolt and where i presume there was another bolt there is now a hole ! thus giving me a vacuum leak, when i cover this hole it idles fine. What i am concerned about is there seems to be no thread on the hole as if its been stripped !
Could the bolt have sheared off taking the thread with it leaving me with whats left of the bolt in the plenum, if so would this have caused any damage ?
Is there really enough vacuum in there to have sheared a bolt off
could i bung the hole somehow or is that a completely stupid idea
Any help apreciated guys
