my welder seams to eat through the small argon bottles i get from halfords. and i heard that u can now get gas less welding wire for mig welders that has a flux core.

is this true? and is it any good?

could i just replace the wire in my current welder with flux core wire and use it without gas.
or would i need a new welder?
