As said above,start with the basics,good oil/filter etc

Could be a dodgy/cheap gauge

Get pressure tested at a garage with a proper pressure tester if your really worried

If the worst comes to the worst an oil pump is a lot cheaper than a re-build m8,not worth giving it any grief if you suspect the pump
