I also have a 99 T 1.8 Focus Zetec that is playing up exactly as described. What started out as an annoying niggle has now turned to a potentially dangerous fault.

How big a job is it to change the speed sensor???

I havn't got a Haynes manual as yet so detailed information would be appreciated.
