Yeah, from what I remember (been a LONG time since I did an Escos screen) the VIN on the EsCos sits on top of dash, above the black band along the bottom of the screen...

If you get a new VIN, you will need a new screen if your cut out has been blanked over... If you get someone who is a really good fitter, you can remove the screen intact, and clean off the blanked over section on the glass, tho this depend how long it has been like this, as after a certain amount of time the primer becomes impervious to pretty much ALL known substances!
