I use a Blitz Boost Controller on my 2WD Cosworth, and I can confirm that the ECU does not have a speed sensor.

I got the speed sensor by taking a feed off one of the abs sensor wires (where it connects to the ECU). This is your best bet, though you may need to calibrate whatever you are connecting to the number of teeth on the wheel. Usually this can be done with high end equip using a self calib mode (ie you drive at 30mph and tell it that!)

I have a wiring diagram at home for the ABS. IF you want to knoe which one it is for a 2wd let me know.
