Nah, i always get a shed load of bubbles from auto glym, you just have to stick the bucket under the tap or somthing else thats powerfull and then it foams up in seconds.
My dad used to use the hose pipe on the sprinke setting to fill the bucket, needless to say he always ended up with a bucket of water by the time he carried it to the car
