Ok - the official answer to the above is the MEF ones come with proven race spec full size 5/8" x 5/8" rose joints, and also the correct (offset) side spacers to re-set the castor angle as per factory settings.

Compbrake ones come with smaller 1/2" x 5/8" inferior rose joints and the side spacers supplied will throw out the front geometery slightly.
