Surely you (as a person) can join as an associate member, but the car cannot be registered with the RSOC since it's not an original RS.
Does the XROC allow me to join as a member, yes, can I register my RS with them, no (even it it has loads of XR bits on it

PassionFord is an internet forum IIRC, the RSOC is a club, there is a distinction there. There is nothing to stop you from joining the RSOC forum is there ?
