Yep, personally would sell it and buy the 1.6 and suffer the insurance.

But failing that, look around for a rusted old Xr3i with a decent engine. will cost you about £200 - £300 and strip it, it will be loads cheaper than buying bits and you'll have it right next to yours to do the swop, I'd go for dash loom brakes tank interior engine box rad - basically the whole lot less the shell.

You may think it will be cheaper to pick bits up but trust me a donor car will save you time money and alot of head scratching.

Anothing thing to consider is that if you have an OHC engine, it will look alot diferent to a CVH block, if you forget to inform the insurance about the swop and the old bill check the motor over, it will be easily spotted, worse if you have a bump and an independant inspector inspects your car.

Not that you would forget to inform your insurance of cause
