Mates PC was playing up with no signal error. Decided to replace his motherboard as it was getting on. Changed the m/b and tested it on an old monitor, perfect. He gets it home and it still shows no signal on his TFT. Have tried 2 different graphics cards, 2 different TFT screens, clearing the CMOS, everything. Stumped completely
Usually with TFT's you need to set the refresh rate down to 50-60hz otherwise you wont get a picture. However I have seen monitors that wont respond to a lower rate. With situations like this I usually remotely connect to the PC with a util like VNC,
http://www.realvnc.com/ and remotely set the display properties until I get an output to a screen.
