Hi all,
As part of my engine build I have aquired a brand new 200 Block, which apparently has been machined for long studs - I believe all 10 studs have been done.
Can anyone tell me more about this conversion? I was going to use normal head bolts, but this block sounds like it could be a bonus, but I know naff all about it

.
Where can I get the studs from and how much?
How do you tighten them up (I guess there is a sequence) and what torque do they get done up to?
What issues might I get with this conversion? I think I read that a modded water pump is needed
I'd also guess removing the head may be trickier with the engine in situ as with normal head bolts removed the head can be lifted straight up, or out at an angle, but I'd imagine that can't be done with 10 studs poking out of the block?
Have done a search, but can't find much other than Mr Rainbird recommending long studding!
Any info welcome from those that know
Simon
