No, it leans or enrichens the fuel. Its a failsafe system that will run if the management fails, like an XR3i but with limited performance, by unplugging it it just means you get no enrichment on boost or leaning off on over-run, you can pull the plug off while its running and it won't make a difference. Try this before the rest because things like sensors and stuff are only processed for enrichment and leaning, they won't make the difference between injectors fuelling and not.
