Honda engines rotate backwards to normal engines, ie they physically rotate the crank the opposite way around.

If you wanted to put a honda engine onto say a FWD ford or vauxhall gearbox, you would have to do so by then rotating the engine and gearbox round so that the gearbox was sat the honda way round (ie on drivers side of the bay) rather than on the passenger side like normal.

This would mean all the cogs inside are turning backwards compared to normal.
