I wouldn't even bother contacting them. Just put an advert in the paper as normal, stating you were broken into on X road at X time and there's £1000 reward for a name that leads to a conviction.

Their mates will be straight on the phone to grass them up. Idiotic criminals like that always boast about robberies.
