Has anyone else received an e-mail from Pay-Pal regarding the amount they've received through the account ?

Apparently the limit is £4500 before they have to carry out account verifications to ensure you arent using the the account for money laundering.

The first couple of checks are basic telephone check to ensure the number thats been resistered with the account it legit then you have to confirm the address details etc etc

BUT then they want you to set up bank funding...

They claim this is a simple case of depositing 2 payments into your account, like they do when you open an account, they put a payment onto your credit card and then reverse it out so you can validate who you are.

HOWEVER.... the sting in the tail with this one is they want you to set up Direct Debit Mandate on your account.

And its an open mandate which basically means they can take money out of your account.

As some money goes into my business account I politely told the chap that there was NO WAY I was giving them access to my bank account....
