Track rod end answers:
Escort mk1: ALL modells have "small hole" and UN threads. Steering arms are bolted, two size (same t/end hole size); shorter for drumbrake+ GT/Sport tiny disk -struts and longer for (Capri -base) big struts (TC/ Mexico/RS1600/RS2000).

Escort mk2: All modells (except RS1800/RS Mexico/RS2000) "big hole" and metric threads and solid steering arms, no matter if disk or drumbrake.
RS models: Same as mk1 but track threads are metric -> needs own "hybrid" t.rod end: green original RS mk2 track rod end.

Shortcuts: If mk2 is getting RS/Capri-type struts you can bolt on mk1 tracks into mk2 steering gear or change all mk1 systems; steeringrack + tracks + ends.

If you put mk2 (non RS) struts into mk1, you must change whole steeringrack & co from mk2 becouse there is no such track rod end what needed: UN thread but with "big hole"....

Capri struts (basicly same as RS) will fit into mk1 Escort straight.
In mk2 we need green rod ends or that "shortcut".

Capri and mk1 Escort have same UN threads and small .hole size

Sorry again for bad english
