I actually think that Vulcan's work is suitable for the lesser stressed N/A derivatives.

When it comes to Turbo stuff, selecting the components from a large box of parts 'accumulated over the years' doesn't quite cut it IMO. Tony's rods from his failed engine were Blue at their narrowest point. We still don't really know why, nor have really bothered to find out.

As for Vulcan's Valves, I think they are probably produced by someone that knows what he is doing, but to fall within a very tight guide price, hence inferior materials used.

I would charge as much in machining alone as Vulcan do for one of their Maxiflow heads complete. They must be cutting costs somewhere.
