yes. its the only way of doing it as the type9 box that would fit stright on would last about 2 seconds with some propper power.
if only the mt75 had a detachable bellhousing
if i was you i would be buying a quaife type 9 sccr synchro box, you can pick them up plenty full for less than £600, i run one on my car for 4 years with no bother.

there are many ratios about for the mt75, i have a few, is it the input shaft thats longer for your v6 ebgine but has less/more teeth than a 2wd 4cyl motor ?

p.s dont run the short nose shaft without spigot support.
