hi just seen there are replys! thanks guys iv been chatting to bud-wise as he has owned the car before just asked about it and he said its always had this problem and he found that the sender was getting stuck on somthing in the tank and stopping it from moving? i havent yet got it down a looked yet but i shall check it on the weekend..

the car is fitted with and escort cosworth pump and has had a new tank fitted, would the tank be any different from the original?

i will also make sure there is not a fault with the gauge.

any ideas on what iv found out will be great. thanks alot
