A standard car should stall as the fueling system requires a sealed system and you are basically introducing a massive air-leak.

If you have a modified breather system you can run a non-sealed system but the fueling needs adjusting to suit. My car is on MFi and doesn't stall if you remove the oil cap.

A Fiesta is EFi so I would imagine you could remove the oil cap without it stalling.
