yes i owned an r1 and to be honest, the cossie is a lot more fun at stge 3 than the r1 ever was at std , everytime i went out on the bike it cost me a bloody fortune , this missus hated it, my boy couldn't come out with me and my cossie feels like itaccelerates harder from 100mph upwards
I ragged the arse out of the r1 and managed 168mph on a section of road near me! i ragged the cossie and got 160 on the same section(yes a whole 8mph faster), i went up against my mates R6 the other night through the twisties and when we had finished he was shocked at how quick the car was!!

so it may not be knee down and looking like a twat in (i wish i was max biaggi) luminous leathers

but it is in my opinion equivalent fun

I have owned numerous bikes i.e x7's ,(i raced 250's proddy),350lc's, zx9r, a wanker of a blade which i chucked up the road, the r1, i even owned a kh500triple (if any one remembers what they were)

so yeah i pretty much know what an r1 goes like, and my cossie is stge 3ish

what would you lot compare it too then?????????????
