Its the catch at the front that goes into the slam panel, wiggle the whole bonnet round a bit with your hand on the release lever until it reaches.

Or if that doesnt work: on the catch on the bonnet, dab some tippex/white paint on the catch, drop it down and see where the paint ends up on the slam panel, thats where your problem is
