Forgot about the 3 digit thing on the back, your right it is strange how they got that

I'll have a better look over my account transactions online and see if I can spot any dodgy looking payments.

I too wondered why they had it delivered to my address, I always get the option of having it delivered somewhere else when ordering something, just in case your not able to be in the house when they deliver.

Well to add to this, always felt reasonably secure with the 3 numbers bit on the back,

BUT

Yesterday morning ordered some bits from a shop (online computer shop) that ive used before, ordered all i wanted went to the checkout page entered my login details etc all i had to do was enter my 3 numbers, trouble was card was upstairs and i was down and couldnt be arsed to go get it lol,so tried to just hit continue without em seeing as i had used them before, but no such luck come back to same page, asking for the numbers, then the numbers numbers just come to me and was well pleased I had remembered them (embarrassed by the fact I could actually remember them lol) so put them in and clicked proceed and it went to a page to confirm ordering saying an email had been sent and another latter on confirmation of payment and then another saying when items had been dispatched.

Now had all my emails and expecting to receive items this morning

Only problem with this situation is is when i went upstairs and checked the numbers on my card they were a MILE out from what id entered

Am waiting till today to make sure I receive my bits (which i should as had an email saying the goods have been dispatched) but when I do who should I complain to the shop or my bank, OR will the bank cancell payment at a latter date cos the shop accepted incorrectly, not trying to get a freebie or anything but this surely SHOULDNT happen, makes a mockery of the "proof of POSSESION" 3 digit code
