that really doesnt prove a lot TBH, engiens will carry on running in a low state of tune depsite being properly fucked up in terms of the bearings etc.
My old clio diesel did 400 miles a week for a month or so despite the headgasket being so badly fooked i used to have to turn it over by hand first every morning before i could start it due to the amount of water in the cylinders
It used to use about 2 litres of water a day
