other than the fact they look better, what are they like to drive with

my mate has HID's on his skoda (fabia vRS) and to say they are good is an understatement, they light up the road so well and you can see much clearer on lanes and in fog etc. he said he will never buy a car again without them

so are they a noticeable difference on the car, whats the beam pattern like and where d'ya get em from and how much.

i know mike r on here sells em but his kits are twice as much as ebay, should i go for these for peace of mind?
