Depends what version of dos and what OS/Hardware you run.

For 8 years i used DOS 5 or 6 along side Windows 3.1 (you could choose to load it in dos, none of this direct loading into XP business) before upgrading to win98 in 1999

I still remember some functions, the main ones you need are the ones above really. For searching directories or whole disks with the contents spread on Dos5/6 the command is: "dir|more". You never mentioned what Dos version your using btw, probz will be why the sound aint working as some of the games were designed to be playe din dos 5/6 and not windows XP version dos so the drivers/setting were different
