all i can say is debt collect agencies cant take anything from you except they can ruin your credit history. If you owe money to the government for example council tax or parking tickets then yes you can get bailiffs around your house and the only other way you can get in problem is if you have something secured on your property. I would get in contact with the AA again and again if worst comes to worst pay the debt of to the debt collect agency but dont offer to pay the full amount as they probably bought the debt from AA for pennies.
