and Ginge - you are allowed flashing yellow lights on a car as part of a hazard warning system (IE - when towing another vehicle or a large trailer etc etc)
its actually illegal in THIS country for a car to have his hazzard lights on when being towed, in europe its fine but not here,,,,,,,,, hence they turn em off when moving UNLESS there causing/hazzard,,,,,,,, and then it has to be PROPER hazzard beacons
