Just a quick question regarding removing the large plugs at rear of engine - is it just a case of cutting them out and joining the wires (soldering) or is there more to it?

I ask because I am having to pull them apart, wd40/clean them and put them back together every month to cure an annoying misfire/jumpy rev counter Also think it tidies the bay up nicely too

I remember the pics of RS Gus's old Saph when he had done this, but I never asked how he did it??

Many thanks in advance

Kev
This was done on my escos simply by cutting the plug each side one by one,
soldering and then heat shrink, however do each one at a time as they are not
all the same as you may think..
