Sorry to go slightly off topic, but...
Just a quick question regarding removing the large plugs at rear of engine - is it just a case of cutting them out and joining the wires (soldering) or is there more to it?
I ask because I am having to pull them apart, wd40/clean them and put them back together every month to cure an annoying misfire/jumpy rev counter

Also think it tidies the bay up nicely too
I remember the pics of RS Gus's old Saph when he had done this, but I never asked how he did it??
