prob been asked before but im just curious

i know ap's are regarded the best but if so why do nearly all car companies use brembos including rally teams and fi teams ?

the only cars i know use ap's are tvr's whereas companies using brembo include

seat, fiat, peugeot,ford,mitsi,scooby,alfa,mercs, jags, land rover and more that i have forgotten

is just ap's cost more ?
