sad news indeed.
My block was the best available, as were pistons/crank. Lets see those Scandinanian drag cars do 13 ( yes it went on the 13th) 200mph Topspeed runs at Brunters. Big difference from a drag run to Held Flatout for 1.5miles we just found the limit. Marks special pistons. crank & rods outlasted a Mountune Nikasil linered block with lots of other tweaks.

I agree with what you are saying there Rod, but thats also why i think if everything is still found to be fine except for the block you should rebuild it and go and set the record it should have been capable of doing, your block blantatly was a victim of not just the amount of power it saw but also how long it had seen similar levels (ie 700+) for too.

If you bolt it back in a brand new block it will almost certainly survive a top speed run, then you can pension it off by putting a smaller turbo on it and it will last for ages.

Your money though of course, so your decision, easy for me to say i want to see it run 210+ when im not the one funding it.

Would a decent custom girdle not drastically improve the durability of the block Mark?
