I had a look at its position, as you say its a bastard to get to, so thought to save squeezing my pound'a'sausage style hands getting cut to shit and the possibility of cleaning it out not sorting it, I decided to buy a new one and just swap it, didnt get time to test it proper.
Before it would idle straight upto 2.5k from cold, after it was 1750 ish, then after a minute dropped to 1500 then another min and it was just above normal idle, I reckon another few minutes and it would be sound, didnt get time so will give it a proper test tomorrow.

PS, whats the cam cover gasket change like? noticed it was leaking a bit while I was doing the ISCV
