If where talking Si 16" 5 spokes, I believe there are two sizes of there, 6J and 6.5J, and ideally you want the 6J as its the thinner one.

And running 195/40/16 tyres to keep the rolling circumference roughly the same.

Shouldn't contact the outer arch. If there's slight rubbing on the spring seat you can rotate the shock 180 and gain a few mm clearance.
