Firstly thanks for the replies, being new I didnt know what sort of response I'd get, so cheers.

Got out to the car on Sun and dropped down the fuse box. Checked all the relays and found a bit of corrosion on the green (number V) ignition relay - power in contact.

Also looked at the bus-bars and found corrocion on the contact with the main power (red and blue) wire.

A quick clean up of these points has cured the problems - all is good again!!! Gonna take ir to an auto electrician to do a better job thou! he he.

Hope this helps anyone else with a similar problem.
