I would go std mate as been hearing few bads stories about some makes of cams wearing very quick had a kent cvh35 in mine but its worn so im fitting a std 1 back in it....
did you uprate all the springs as ive heard that if you dont it can cause the cam to wear quick?
had the full cam kit fitted mine has done a few 1000 miles though with no probs but it now worn its just the new 1s ive heard bad stories thats why gone back to std as dont want spend all that money and it gets worn after a few miles not heard nothing about newman cams though
are you not ment to lube the cam then run it at about 2ooorpm once started for about 15-20mins to bed it/ prevent it buggering the cam? (not certain)
Yes. It's very important for the lifespan of the cam. I think many who complain about worn cams have neglected to do this.
done all this its an old cam and has had a hard life just ive heard a lot bad things about the new 1s wearing quick...
