you are right that there is no real need to blow air all over the front of the car, except doing so also replicates the airflow in and out of the engine bay.

my point was meant to be that it's not just about the windspeed, it's about the mass flow. but what you're doing is very good, and i'd be happier to have something like that than nothing.

how are you going to build something that is compatible with many different vehicles? could be tricky.

if you fit the nozzle up close to the front of a car, what pressure will that give, and how does that affect the CFM?
